There’s a Snake in Singapore!

I know, I’ve abandoned my blog!
But don’t despair, I’m out and about in Singapore collecting plenty of material to share over the next couple of weeks.
Combined with flat hunting (any tips on which district is best?), exploring Hawker Centres and melting in the heat, my first impressions of Singapore are fantastic – I know we’re going to have a great time here.

Above is the large snake running through Chinatown, preparing for next week’s New Year celebrations!

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour, 549, ‘Distraction’

Getting ready for the move to Singapore has meant one thing, preparing my summer wardrobe – this has been especially fun during the previous snowy days!
This has also meant summer colours and I’ve been brightening up my nails with the colour that everyone was wearing last summer, Chanel’s ‘Distraction’ nail varnish.
A mix or pinky rose and coral with a tint of light orange, it’s bright but not garish.I’m excited for Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2013 makeup, any ideas what nail colour they will be launching this summer?

Bristol: See No Evil

These are my last couple of days in the UK before we head for a new life in Singapore.
I’ve spent the past couple of days back in Bristol.
Bristol is my favourite UK city (sorry London, I do love you too) not only because of the most amazing memories I have from uni but also because it’s just so damn cool.

The See No Evil graffiti project highlights just how great and unique this city is.
Set up last summer, a group of around 70 graffiti artists have transformed drab Nelson Street (the drunken route between Broadmead, Syndicate and Panache to the city centre fountains) into a graffiti masterpiece.
Professional spray painters have taken over the street and covered the dull council buildings with colourful and distinct artwork which have become a key attraction for locals and tourists – seems fitting really considering Bristol is also home to so many of Banksy’s work.

Below are photos of some of the best pieces taken by myself and my brother. Check it out when you’re next in the city:
